Methodology
As part of an overall educational approach we utilize a
Spanish Language Program in which the children will be
immersed in Spanish while participating in activities. In
order to achieve the desired levels of Spanish proficiency,
children must be fully immersed in the language as early
as possible. Once a child reaches the age of 4 we begin to
introduce 10% English and 10% French. The children will
learn through experience and integration. We use story
time, singing, dancing, arts and crafts, drama, puppets,
free-time in centers, gymnastics, and recess to help
children develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination,
order, sequence, confidence, concentration, and
independence.

Linguistic immersion
The method chosen for the children to feel comfortable
rather than confused or pressured to learn a new language
is “linguistic immersion”. That is, introducing each new
language naturally through everyday situations and not as
subject matter. To this end, at Spanish Immersion Day
Care, we employ native speakers, which will allow your
child to express him/herself in two languages, Spanish and
English.
Our Spanish Curriculum follows the Mexican
Ministry of National Education.
Multicultural
The different nationalities of our teaching staff and
children create a rich multicultural experience, allowing
the children not only to assimilate the language but also
learn the customs and cultures of different countries,
thereby developing an open and tolerant mind.
Social-Constructive Philosophy
Our methods utilize the Social-Constructive Philosophy
where children learn in a variety of ways (listening,
observing, touching, reading, participation and repetition)
Our methodology recognizes that all children learn and
progress at different speeds and therefore we must adapt
to their individual pace for learning. Our studies have
shown that children learn best when they are taught
through organized playing activities where the teacher
reaches the children on their level and stimulates their
ability to learn.
Anything can be presented as a game. The game can
change the atmosphere and capture the interest of the
most reluctant child. They don't realize they are learning
but they are enjoying the game and learning at the same
time.
The course becomes more structured based on the age of
the child. Incorporating age related activities to stimulate
their social as well as academic progress.
